      Description
View of women workers conducting a tear-down inspection of engines. Label on back: "Picture 74896. Tear down inspection after green run. By demonstrating to government inspectors that this engine inspection can be done with only partial dis-assembly, we have been able to speed this operation by 50% and also cut down salvage resulting from former complete dis-assembly (for example, many brittle rings were broken in removal from pistons)." Handwritten on back: "Women workers."
