Portrait of Walt Kuhn, catcher for the Chicago White Sox. Brown Backgrounds (T207) series. Printed on front: "Kuhn, Chicago, Amer." Printed on back: "Red Kuhn. Kuhn is one of the many young catchers secured by owner Comiskey of the Sox to rally to the aid of Billy Sullivan, the twelve-year veteran. He was brought on last fall and used in a few games where he showed a good pegging arm and fair steadiness, still lacking the finish which comes from experience under fire. He was a well built youngster and looked to have a bright future before him. He was not played enough in 1911 with the Sox to figure in any published record but he hit around .250 in his few starts. Broadleaf cigarettes, Factory no. 25, 2nd dist., Va."
