Description:
Parade float in the form of a ship turning corner; flags on masts; children in navy uniforms on deck; name on ship: "Victory, Detroit." Sign on side of float: "Uncle Sam asked the American Shipbuilding Co. for 72 ships in 1918. Showing a real spirit of patriotism they gave him 90. 27 of the 90 ships were built by the Detroit Shipbuilding Co., 9 more than its original quota." Printed on photograph: "Peace Parade, Nov 28th 1918, Detroit Shipbuilding Co., Detroit, Mich."
