Two-story Colonial-style house. Striped awnings over windows. Right side of building appears to be converted into a bar - signs for "Beer" and "Stroh's" hang from building. Label on back: "Farrar house, built in 1816. It stood at the junction of Randolph, Bates and Farrar, which then extended to Randolph." Handwritten on duplicate mat back: "John Farrar homestead; built corner of Bates and Randolph St., about 1820. Farrar St. cut through the property. Built and occupied by John Farrar until about 1856."
