Colonial-style building, windows and front entrance intact. East wing still attached to building, with smaller entrance to main house. Handwritten on back: "The Cass house in which Gen. Lewis Cass died. This picture was taken by John Reid just before the building was taken down, May 19, 1898. S.E. cor. First and Fort Sts."
