Detroit Fire Department engine house (Engine Company 5) on Alexandrine near Cass, built in 1876. Small building with tall watchtower. Handwritten on back: "Engine house 1881, Alexandrine Ave. near Cass; see Farmer, Silas, History of Detroit, v. 1, p. 516; Engine 5 built June 1877."
