Length no. 14, counting from outer end toward shore, as viewed from its outer, or southerly end. Distortion and lacerations are on upper surface of pipe, toward upstream or easterly side, and probably due to stranding of steamer Conneaut on August 10, 1932. Bolt lugs establish horizontal axis in its original position on river bottom."
