Printed on back: "Campus Martius, Detroit, Mich. Campus Martius is a public square, located in the center of the business section of Detroit. It was named by George Woodward in 1806, the word meaning military camp. C.T. Photochrom." Handwritten on back: "Hello Walter, Rec'd your letter some time ago pardon me for not answering before but you see I am in Detroit now am enjoying myself as always [undecipherable] everyone at Wayland suppose you all are busy don't wait so long as I have to answer as ever your friend, Pearl Meyers. 44 Greenwood Ave., Detroit, Mich."
