Description:
View of Robert Burns statue, located in Cass Park at Temple and Second Avenue. Monument was designed by George A. Lawson. Inscription reads: "Burns. From scenes like these old Scotia's grandeur springs. Nae man can tether time nor tide. Wee modest crimson-tipped flower thou's met me in an evil hour. The highest mead of praise, belongs to him who makes a people's songs, who strikes one note the common good, one chord a wider brotherhood."
