Narrow two-story brick Italianate town house at 988 E. Congress, parcels 66 and 65, in the area bounded by Hastings/Dequindre/Larned/Congress, site 3-S-1. Looks like apartment or rooming house. Tall windows, lace curtains in main floor window, roof stepped toward back; man stands by door. Sign by ornamented front stoop reads "Private property, no trespassing, violators will be prosecuted." Walker & Co. billboard next to house reads "Pocket pack, Kleenex tissues. Still only 5 [cents]." Viewed at an angle across street. Vacant lot on left and wooden-frame house on right. Cars parked on street and in lot. Handwritten on front: "Par. 66-65, 988 E. Congress, 9-29-51."
