I got your letter all o.k. I was glad to hear that you have been looking after my duty's [sic] the way you have. I haven't much news fore [sic] you tonight. This has been a dandy [damp?] day, it is getting some muddy(?), it sure makes lizzie [?] Went I get off of the cement, I got stuck once today. S.P. must be taken things easy this winter when he isn't even cleaning his stables, he is resting for next summer (etc., etc.) I will try and get a letter to you soon. D.R."
