The building and grounds occupy a complete block, and the site cost the Board of Education $130,350. The addition shown on the left was completed in 1908 at a cost of $250,000. The buildings represent an investment of three quarters of a million." Handwritten on back: "August 8, 1912. Seeing you sent me a picture of an Ann Arbor school building, I'll send a picture of our school building. I quit work today and am going away Saturday afternoon for 2 weeks vacation. I have decided to go up in Grand Lake near Alpena. Gray." Card is postmarked August 9, 1912.
