View at an angle of St. Mary's Hospital; three-story brick Gothic revival building has square tower over entrance. Printed on front: "St. Mary's Hospital, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "1400, St. Mary's Hospital, at the corner of Clinton and Antoine Streets is the pioneer hospital in Detroit, having been founded in 1846. It comprises accommodations for 175 patients and is conducted by the order of the Sisters of Charity. A nurses' school is conducted in connection." Handwritten on back: "We decided to stop the lessons as Willard does not practice as he should. Will let you know if we start him again. Mrs. [undecipherable], 607 Tillman Ave." Card is postmarked March 10, 1913.
